Bemer Mat Review 2026: Used Prices & Honest Comparisons
Bemer Mat Review is an independent site that tracks current asking prices on the used Bemer market, explains what the research does and does not show, and compares the Bemer honestly against Healthy Wave, Biomat, and other PEMF mats. I am not a BEMER distributor and this site is not affiliated with BEMER Group.

The Bemer is a well-built, well-finished PEMF device with a polished controller and useful spot applicators.
It is also expensive for what it does: one fixed signal at two frequencies, unchanged since 2007, at a price that reflects its distributor commission structure.
If you are comparing options before spending this kind of money, start with my Bemer vs Healthy Wave comparison. It is the matchup most shoppers ask about, and the differences in adjustability, trial period, and price are large.
How the Bemer compares
The three mats shoppers cross-shop most often. The cards give the short version; each comparison page carries the depth.
Bemer (Classic, Pro & Evo)
One patented low-intensity signal, two frequencies, and a simple 8-minute routine. Well made and easy to live with, at $4,590 – $5,890 new for the current Evo sets.

Healthy Wave Multi-Wave
Adjustable waveforms, frequencies, and intensity, plus far infrared and red light in the same mat, with a longer money-back trial, at roughly half the price of a new Bemer set.

Biomat 7000MX
A far infrared heating mat built with layers of amethyst crystal, with negative ions. No PEMF at all, so it is a different therapy category, not a direct substitute.

Does the Bemer mat really work?
The Bemer delivers a low-intensity PEMF signal aimed at circulation, and PEMF is studied for circulation and recovery. The independent evidence on Bemer specifically is mixed: some studies report benefits, others found no measurable effect. My Bemer therapy benefits guide walks through the research study by study.
What does a Bemer mat do?
A Bemer is a flexible full-body mat with a plug-in controller. During a session, typically 8 minutes, coils in the mat produce a patented pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) at one of two frequencies. Higher-end sets add spot applicators; red light is a separate add-on, not part of any current set.
What is a Bemer mat good for?
Owners mostly use it for general wellness, circulation support, and recovery. PEMF is studied for circulation, pain, and recovery, usually as an add-on to other care. No PEMF mat is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Is the Bemer mat FDA approved?
No, and the wording matters. The Bemer is FDA-registered and 510(k) cleared as a Class II device, which is not the same as FDA approval. Clearance means the device was shown to be substantially similar to devices already on the market. My FDA approval guide explains the difference in plain terms.
