About & Methodology
Who Runs This Site, and How Our Price Data Works
Bemer Mat Review is an independent review site. We are not a BEMER distributor and have no affiliation with BEMER Group. We track used BEMER asking prices from eBay listings, standardize them so they can be compared, and label our own analysis separately from eBay's data.
This page exists so you can judge the rest of the site. It covers who publishes it, exactly how the used-price data is gathered and calculated, which parts of a listing card are eBay's information and which parts are our reading of it, how the site is funded, and what we refuse to do. If a claim here does not match what you see on a page, tell us and we will fix one or the other.
Who Runs This Site, and Why
Bemer Mat Review is produced by HealthMatReview.com, an independent publisher covering PEMF, infrared and red light therapy mats. We are not a BEMER distributor, we hold no BEMER inventory, we take no payment from BEMER Group or from anyone in its distributor network, and no brand has approval over anything published here. BEMER is a trademark of BEMER Group AG and appears on this site for identification only.
HealthMatReview covers the wider category. This site covers one brand and its used market in depth. The two share a publisher, not a sponsor, and neither is affiliated with BEMER Group.
This site exists because Bemer pricing is unusually hard to check. There is no store shelf and no public checkout. New sets are sold only through independent distributors, and the used market is spread across individual listings that all describe the same hardware differently. So we do two things here: publish plain background reading, and run a price tracker over the used market.
What we publish
- The used Bemer marketplace: current BEMER listings from eBay, standardized so two listings of the same set can actually be compared.
- The used price guide: typical asking prices and price history by model.
- New Bemer prices: BEMER's published US list prices for current Evo sets and for the discontinued sets you meet on the used market.
- Our guides: background on the company, the technology, and the regulatory position, plus side-by-side comparisons.
How the Price Data Works
The used marketplace and the price guide run on the same pipeline. Here is what it does, in order, and what the numbers it produces do and do not mean.
Where the listings come from
We pull current BEMER listings directly from eBay, several times a day. Nothing is scraped. Nothing is bought or sold on this site: every card links out to the original eBay listing, which is where the transaction happens and where eBay's own buyer protection applies.
How listings are standardized
eBay titles are written by sellers, so two identical sets can be described in completely different words, and a listing for a single applicator can read like a listing for a full system.
An automated pass reads each new listing once and maps it onto a fixed vocabulary of our own: a canonical model name, a condition grade, and a what-is-included check covering the controller, the applicators and the signal tester. Contact-detail patterns are filtered out of the listing text before it is processed.
A listing the pass cannot match to a tracked model is still shown, but it is held out of the price statistics rather than guessed into a model.
The standardized title on a card is ours, not eBay's. The seller's original title stays one click away on every card, so you can always check our reading against theirs.
Prices are asking prices, not sold prices
Every tracker figure on this site is what a seller is currently asking. We do not publish sold prices, completed-listing data, or an estimate of what any particular unit is worth. Sold prices generally land a little lower than asking prices, especially on listings that accept Best Offers, and the gap is not something we measure.
How the typical price is calculated
On the price guide, the typical figure for a model is the median of the asking-price medians we record at every refresh over the last 90 days. We record a median each time we refresh, several times a day, so no single listing and no single refresh can swing the figure.
Auctions and partial sets are excluded from that calculation, and a median resists outliers, so one unusually high asking price does not drag the number up.
On a model we have only just started tracking, the typical figure is the median of its current listings until 90 days of history exist, and the page labels it that way. Where a range is shown alongside it, that is the low to high asking spread across the listings on the page right now.
Freshness, and what happens when a listing ends
Every listing view and every aggregate figure carries its own freshness disclosure: the page tells you when its data was last updated. Our systems stop serving listing data once it is more than six hours old rather than show you something stale, and the aggregate figures on the price guide are held to a twenty-four hour ceiling. Past those limits the pages fall back to a plain "no current data" state instead.
When a listing ends on eBay it drops out of our cache and off our pages at the next refresh. We do not keep ended listings on display.
| Aspect | What we do |
|---|---|
| Source | Current eBay listings, retrieved directly from eBay |
| Price type | Asking prices set by sellers. Never sold prices, never an appraisal of a unit |
| Typical price | Median of the asking-price medians we record at each refresh, complete Buy It Now sets of that model, trailing 90 days |
| Excluded from aggregates | Auctions, partial sets, parts-only units and standalone accessories |
| Refresh | Several times a day. Each page shows its own last-updated time |
| Age limit | Listing data more than six hours old is not served at all. Aggregate figures are held to a twenty-four hour ceiling |
| Ended listings | Drop out of our cache and off the pages at the next refresh |
| Not tracked | Sold prices, accepted offers, and the value of any individual unit |

How We Separate Our Analysis From eBay's Data
Two different kinds of information sit on the same listing card, and mixing them would be the easiest way to mislead you. So we keep them visibly apart.
| Source of the information | What it covers |
|---|---|
| From eBay and the seller | The asking price, the seller's original listing title, item location, the seller's public feedback rating, whether returns are accepted, the listing photos, and the outbound link itself |
| Our analysis | The standardized model name and title, the condition grade, the what-is-included check, any heads-up note about missing parts or an untested unit, and the label on the lowest-priced complete listing of a model |
Anything in the second row is marked on the page itself as "Our analysis, not from eBay or the seller".
Rank labels are mechanical, not editorial. Among the complete Buy It Now listings of one model in the current refresh, the one with the lowest asking price gets the label, so a filter you apply does not change which listing holds it. It compares asking prices only, it is not a judgement about what a unit is worth, models with only a couple of complete listings are not ranked at all, and no seller can buy one.
The same separation applies in our editorial writing. Where a note beside eBay data is our opinion rather than listing information, it is introduced as our editorial. Where a figure comes from BEMER Group's own published material, such as the new-set list prices, we say so and date it.
How We Make Money
Affiliate commissions. Outbound "View on eBay" buttons are eBay Partner Network links: if you buy after clicking one, eBay may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you, and you pay exactly what you would have paid without the link. We may also earn a commission on other outbound product links, including the ones on our comparison pages. That income is what funds the price tracking.
What it does not buy is placement. Condition grades, what-is-included checks and lowest-price labels come out of the automated pass described above and are applied to every listing by the same rules, whether or not the link earns us anything. No seller has ever paid for a grade, a label or a position, and there is no mechanism by which they could.
Recommendations in the editorial pages are a separate thing again, and we would rather show you the reasoning than ask you to trust a verdict. Our Bemer vs Healthy Wave comparison is a good test case: we earn either way. The Healthy Wave buttons are affiliate links, and the used Bemer listings that page sends you to carry eBay affiliate links of their own, so the only thing steering the comparison is the argument printed on the page.
On the data side, we run Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure traffic and see which pages help. What is collected, and how to opt out, is set out in our privacy policy. The rules covering the eBay listing data displayed here, including the fact that it is licensed for viewing rather than copying, are in our terms of use.
What We Do Not Do
- No medical advice. Nothing on this site diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents anything, and no page should be read as a recommendation to use a device for a health condition.
- No selling. We do not sell mats, take orders, handle payments or hold stock. Every purchase happens on eBay or on the seller's own site, under their terms.
- No sponsored placements. No paid reviews, no paid rankings, no brand buying a spot on a page or a position in a grid.
- No valuations. We will not tell you what a specific unit is worth, what to offer a seller, or what a price should be. The site shows what sellers are asking and how those asks compare with each other.
- No invented facts. Where we cannot trace a figure to a primary source, we write around it rather than guess, and we say the figure is unconfirmed instead of inventing one.
Caution On health claims, ours and everyone else's.
Nothing here is medical advice. PEMF devices are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Marketing you read elsewhere may go further than the evidence does. Talk to your doctor before starting any new therapy, particularly if you have an implanted device such as a pacemaker, or if you are pregnant.
How to Correct Us
If something here is wrong, we want to know. Email the address in the site footer, and name the page and the claim. A factual correction gets made in the page and moves its "last updated" date. A correction that changes a conclusion gets a visible note saying what changed and why, because quietly editing a recommendation is its own kind of dishonesty.
Two cases worth calling out. If you are an eBay seller and you want your listing off the site sooner than the automatic refresh removes it, email us and we will exclude it. And if you have a primary source for something we have deliberately left vague, send it: a page that can be made more specific and still stand up is a page we want to update.
About This Site: Common Questions
Is Bemer Mat Review affiliated with BEMER Group?
No. We are an independent review site. We are not a BEMER distributor, we do not sell BEMER products, and BEMER Group has no involvement in what we publish. BEMER is a trademark of BEMER Group AG and we use it here for identification only.
Are the prices on this site sold prices?
No. Every tracker figure on this site is an asking price set by a seller on eBay. We do not publish sold prices or completed-listing data. Sold prices generally land a little lower than asking prices, especially on listings that accept Best Offers.
How often do the used listings update?
We pull current BEMER listings directly from eBay several times a day. Each page shows when its own data was last updated, our systems stop serving listing data more than six hours old and aggregate figures more than twenty-four hours old, and listings that have ended on eBay drop off the site at the next refresh.
Do affiliate commissions change your condition grades or rankings?
No. Condition grades, what-is-included checks and lowest-price labels come out of the same automated pass for every listing, and no seller can pay for a grade, a label or a position. Affiliate commissions fund the price tracking and cost you nothing extra.
